U.S. St. Stephen's Land Office - Registers' daybook, 1819-1820.

The St. Stephen's Land Office Register kept this daybook to record daily transactions in his office. Each entry includes the transaction number, the date, the purchaser's name and address, the number of acres involved, the tract location, and an explanation of the transaction. Generally this volume records lands sold and lands reverted to the U.S. for non-payment. An index to names appears at the front of the volume. This series documents the work of district land office Registers and of the St. Stephen's Land Office in its early years.
